Chichen Itza returns to the Terminal Classic age, the pre-Columbian period, built by the Mayan and Yucatan civilizations. Located in the Yucatan state, Chichen Itza is a day trip from Cancun. The highlight of this archaeological site is El Castillo which rises 79 feet (24 meters) above the Main Plaza and has 365 steps, the number of days in the solar year. It is hard to believe that it took five years to build this massive monument, which began in 1926. Secondly, The memorial stands at an impressive height of 98 feet (30 meters) and Christ the Redeemer has a base of about 26 feet (08 meters) high. Its arms span an incredible 92 feet (28 meters). Christ the Redeemer was created to celebrate Brazil’s centennial anniversary of independence and is a must-see for anyone visiting Rio de Janeiro. You can reach the Christ the Redeemer statue by taking a train or trekking up to the 700-foot-tall peak.

Machu Pichu was built atop fault lines, even shaken by earthquakes over the years, yet it still stands tall. The walls of Machu Pichu are a sight to behold of dry stone and boulders without any mortar. It is a unique engineering feat that shows the Inca’s knowledge of construction and architecture.
What’s also fascinating is that this massive structure has precise alignments with the sun and stars, showcasing the Inca’s understanding of astronomy. Visiting Machu Pichu is an experience you will never forget as you climb the peaks, you will witness a breathtaking panoramic view of the Urubamba River and surrounding mountains. Machu Pichu is genuinely humbling to stand in the presence of such a remarkable ancient monument, a true wonder of the world.
PETRA, JORDAN
Rose City amazes you with the sheer beauty and grandeur of the red stone architecture, and also the intricate modern water channel systems that run through Petra city are a sight to behold. This rock-cut architecture is a marvel with numerous incredible landmarks that take your breath away, such as the lengthy Siq, the Temple of Winged Lions, and the Treasury is particularly remarkable. There is no surprise that Petra attracts millions of visitors every year, as Petra is undoubtedly one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
TAJ MAHAL, AGRA, INDIA
The Taj Mahal is one of the most awe-inspiring and mesmerizing 17th-century-old Mughal architecture-based mausoleums of the World. Shahjahan built the Taj Mahal in honour of his beloved wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Firstly, The pristine white marble monument sits on the banks of the river Yamuna. Secondly, the Taj Mahal is decorated and carved with the famous inlay work called Pietra Dura, Islamic calligraphy, and screens. Also, The central dome has elegant minarets at each corner of the building which lend to its grandeur and magnificence. Also, the main structure encircles the beautiful gardens and fountains that enhance its beauty and create an atmosphere of tranquillity. It is no wonder that the Taj Mahal is a masterpiece of architecture. As a UNESCO World Heritage site, the Taj Mahal is an absolute must-see for anyone who appreciates history, architecture, or the sheer beauty of this world-renowned mausoleum.
THE COLOSSEUM, ROME
The most attractive feature of this monument is the oval Amphitheatre structure located in Rome. The Colosseum attracts tourists from all over the world, with over 6 million people visiting it each year. The Colosseum is the most known symbol of the Roman Empire that has witnessed bloodstained battles and wild animal fighting. The underground passages and trap doors are still smoothly accessible. These passages and trap doors are now the areas of staging entertainment. The Colosseum is where the Pope makes an appearance every Good Friday and leads the way in the Cross Procession. Three thousand people can visit this site at once, and the Colosseum is one of the must-visit locations in Rome.
THE GREAT WALL OF CHINA

The Great Wall of China is a remarkable piece of architecture that dates back to the 7th century during the reign of Qin Shi Hong of the Qing dynasty, and the Great Wall of China spans an impressive 21,196 km in length. The wall is 9.1 m wide and 15 m high, making the Great Wall of China, one of the longest and the topmost visited structures. This massive structure features two parallel walls, watchtowers, and barracks dotting the wall, all built to prevent invasions and raids from neighbouring kingdoms. Despite the impressive construction of the wall, the Great Wall of China ultimately failed to provide essential security. However, the Great Wall of China remains a testament to the ingenuity and creativity of ancient Chinese engineers and architects.
